PVD Coatings
Physical Vapor Deposition. Extremely hard, thin ceramic films with a nano-crystalline structure applied in vacuum chambers via physical vapor deposition. The extreme hardness and excellent adhesion of PVD Ceramic films provide wear-resistance and lubricity for many different materials used by industry.
Formulations of PVD Ceramic films have been developed using boron carbide, chrome, titanium and tungsten disulfide. Each formulation is optimized for application over the specific substrate. Whenever possible, it is also optimized for each customer's use of that substrate.
